About us, Vision & Mission
The onset of every Ramanavami in Bangalore brings an eternal divine bliss of Musical feast that is served with an essence of raga, the spirit of tala and the emotion of Bhava. For the past 8 decades, we have dedicated ourselves to the growth of the rich cultural heritage of our country by conducting Sree Ramanavami National Music Festivals with a rich and colourful fare of cultural programmes in which artistes from all parts of the world participate.
Our founder Late Sri S V Narayanaswamy Rao with a vision of taking the spirit of Rama to the public, through the essence of Music started a cultural revolution, which he named “SREE RAMASEVA MANDALI”. The organisation which had a very humble beginning at the footpath of 3rd Main road in the year 1939, is today the “Temple of Music”, which organises the largest Indian Classical Music Festival”.
Mandali's Ramanavami Celebrations have been inaugurated by 3 PRESIDENTS OF INDIA, 4 VICE PRESIDENTS OF INDIA and all the Chief Minister’s and Governor’s of Karnataka State have attended our Celebrations. The Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of the Mandali in the year 2013 was inaugurated by two Governors, H.E Governor of Karnataka and H.E.Governor of the then unites Andhra Pradesh.
Mr.Rao steered the Mandali for 62 years till his death in the year 2000. After the demise of our founder, S.N.Varadaraj took over as the General Secretary of the Mandali in the year 2000. The Mandali has been awarded with Govt of Karnataka’s Rajyotsava Award in 2001.
The Mandali has a large share in Preserving, Protecting & Promoting Classical Music in the country.

Our Objectives
1. To organise Ramanavami Celebrations & National Music Festival every year during March-April-May at the Old fort High School Grounds.
2. To bring out Magazines and journals regarding Indian Classical Music.
3. To establish educational institutions dealing with training and promotion of Classical Music & Dance.
4. To institute a 24 hours Radio channel dedicated to Classical Music
5. To establish a theme park dedicated to Ramayana
